Balm of Gilead

u see, like a bird flying in the sky, shot down wounded and sore moments later.
like  bird loving person gently picking it up and taking it back to his own home.
like dat person.......most likely a little child............caring for that wounded bird, mending its  broken wing and feeding  it to give new strength.
like teaching it to fly again when it looks to the sky and telling it that its still ok to fly up again.
so did he do for me
the balm in Gilead he put on my messed up soul
the hug he gave and the embrace i felt when all i cud do was cry
the words he spoke when no words came from my mouth
his listening ear when all i wanted to do was weep, rant and rave
and ahhhh yes....................
just those words......simple but that was what i was waiting for
I LOVE YOU
brought back so many things
life, hope, joy, peace, courage, faith and yes best of all still LOVE.
so yes i too can spread my wings again and fly, as high as i want to go
because yes...............
he'll do the same over and over again, again and again for me................ no matter what happens.
